Gay Man Sues Christian Publishers for Altered Bible Verses on Homosexuality

A gay man has filed suit against two Christian publishers over claims they altered passages in the Bible to depict homosexuality as sinful. Author Bradley Fowler is seeking $60 million in damages from Zondervan Corp. and $10 million from Thomas Nelson Publishing, charging that the publishers are guilty of malice, negligence and violation of his civil rights.

Transgender College Professor Fired for Dressing as a Woman

A transgender professor at a private, Christian university is loosing her job for appearing on campus dressed as a woman. John Nemecek, 55, who goes by Julie Marie Nemecek, is fighting the dismissal by Spring Arbor University, which takes effect June 1.

Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold Announces Support for Full Marriage Equality

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community leaders praised Russell Feingold, following the announcement of his full support of marriage equality for same sex couples. Feingold becomes the fourth U.S. senator to support marriage equality, along with Lincoln Chafee (R-R.I.), Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.).
